Ingredients

  • 40g veal, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 small potato, diced
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Preparation

  1. Wash and peel carrot and potato; cut into small even pieces. Trim any visible gristle from veal and cut into small pieces.

  2. Simmer veal gently in enough water until fully cooked and tender; ensure no raw centre remains, checking a food thermometer against guidance for the actual cut and preparation.

  3. Add carrot and potato early enough that both become completely fork-tender. Continue cooking until veal shreds or minces easily and vegetables crush readily.

  4. Finely shred or blend veal with the vegetables, loosening with safe cooking liquid until moist and spoonable; check that no tough strands remain.

  5. Stir in olive oil and cool before feeding.

Serving by Age

Finely blend fully cooked veal with tender vegetables for a smooth cohesive spoonful; later serve well-minced soft meat mixed into mash. Avoid dry meat pieces that are difficult to manage.

7 months+
